A George II sterling silver coffee pot, London 1733 by John Swift (reg. between May-Oct 1728)
Of tapering cylindrical form upon a moulded spreading foot. The octagonal panelled spout with scalloped junction opposite a wooden C scroll handle with scroll junction. The hinged partially domed lid surmounted by a circular spool finial. Engraved to the side with a coat of arms in a spinsters lozenge reserved within foliate scroll and lattice work mantling. Fully marked underneath and with lion passant only to inside of lid.
