An early George III Old Sheffield Silver Plate tankard, Sheffield circa 1760-70 by Tudor and Leader

of tapering cylindrical form with skirt base, the C scroll handle with heart shaped terminal and rocaille junctions, leading to a hinged domed lid, raised by a later 19th century EPNS thumbpiece. Wooden inset base. Marked thrice near rim.

Height – 16.5 cm / 6.5 inches
