A George II silver etui, probably London circa 1740

Of tapering oval form with a hinged lid. The interior fitted with a silver folding rule of six inches, folding scissors, tweezers and file, compass, a steel fork, knife and stylus with screw end, a silver handle with a rasp to the interior. The front with an engraved coat of arms in a woman’s lozenge, reserved with rustication and foliate scrolls, edged with lozenges and rustication with baroque style engraved scrolls, vacant cartouche to the reverse.
