A George III sterling silver salver, London 1783 by John Scofield

Of oval form with a fluted ovolo edge and a beaded rim, all raised upon four beaded and fluted splay feet. The field centre engraved with a crest of a human heart, winged, and crowned, all below the motto FORWARD. Fully marked to the reverse.

Length – 23 cm / 9 inches

Weight – 376 grams / 12.09 ozt
