A George III sterling silver teapot stand, London 1808 by Rebecca Emes and William Emes
Of circular form with a cavetto edge with a lotus sepal rims all upon four anthemion bracket feet. Plain field. Fully marked underneath.

A rare maker’s mark as only used for 3 and a half months between the 30th June to 14th October 1808. Rebecca Emes was John Emes's widow and William was his brother. This was a temporary partnership until Rebecca Emes registered a formal partnership with Edward Barnard.
