A Charles II late 17th century unmarked silver patch box, circa 1680

Of cylindrical form with a pull off lid. One side engraved with a cupid softening a heart on a grindstone, engraved above ‘Le Ne Puis Landovcir’, the lid with two cupids each holding a flaming heart engraved above ‘Ce Que Ie Donneie Le Demande’.

Diameter – 3.2 cm / 1.25 inches

Weight – 9 cm / 0.29 ozt
