A third quarter 19th century Austrian 800 standard silver timepiece, Vienna circa 1872 by JB for Johann Bannert (active 1863-99)
Of panelled oval form upon an oval foot with beaded and corded edges. The removable top with swing handle. The unsigned watch movement (defunct) with white enamel dial with Roman numerals. Inset weight base. Marked throughout, the removable top with 1867-72 marks, the base with 1872-1921 marks.
Height – 21.5 cm / 8.5 inches
