A closely matched Victorian sterling silver four-piece tea and coffee service

Comprising a coffee pot (London 1850 by Henry Holland), a teapot (London 1850 by Hayne and Cater), a milk jug (London 1842 by William Moulson) and a twin handled sugar bowl (London 1862 by Hayne and Cater). Each of ‘melonized’ lobed form upon four anthemion and scroll bracket feet. The pots with fluted acanthus capped spouts opposite C scroll handles fitted with ivory insulators pinned to sockets, leading to hinged domed lids surmounted by detachable gourd and leafy calyx finials. The milk and sugar with gilt interiors. Each fully marked underneath, the lids part-marked, the teapot finial part-marked for Henry Holland, the coffee pot finial marked for Sheffield by Hawkesworth, Eyre & Co, with George IV duty mark.
