A SET OF FIVE DECANTERS, POSSIBLY IRISH, LATE 18TH CENTURY CIRCA 1790, barrel shaped, each engraved roughly with a vine band, with mushroom stoppers, one lacking a stopper. (5)

20cm high

Provenance: From a collection of furniture and antiques left to the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB ) in 1939 by Evelyn Stannus of Kensington. Items in the collection are believed to have come from Ireland. Since 1939 many objects from the collection have been on loan to the National Trust and this item has been displayed at Montacute House.
