A Victorian sterling silver three-piece tea service, London 1871/74 by Martin Hall and Co

Comprising a teapot (1871), a twin handled sugar bowl and a milk jug. The teapot of circular urn form upon a circular domed pedestal foot, the curved spout with chased acanthus detailing opposite a C scroll handle with acanthus leaf junction, fitted with stained ivory insulators, The flush hinged cavetto domed lid with an acanthus lead surround and surmounted by a detachable pineapple and leaf calyx finial. The bodies with engraved decoration strapwork arabesques, and foliate pendants. The milk jug base filled with a silvered copper disc, the teapot with a leaded foot. Each fully marked and part-marked.
