A RARE COMPLETE BURMESE RED AND BLACK LACQUER 'FISH' BETEL-BOX AND COVER

19th / 20th Century

Of cylindrical form complete with two internal trays, the exterior decorated using the yun technique in red to depict several fish on a dense leaf pattern with borders of concentric circles, the interior sides with similar motifs in red, yellow and green, both internal trays decorated with yellow concentric circles to the bases and sides, the interiors lacquered red,
