A George V ‘Arts and Crafts’ sterling silver four-piece tea and coffee service, Birmingham 1935 by Arthur Matthews

Comprising a teapot, a coffee pot or hot water pot, a milk jug and a twin handled sugar bowl. Each of rounded form upon collet feet. The teapot with a tapering tubular spout opposite a fibre C scroll handle leading to a hinged domed lid surmounted by an everted detachable fibre finial. The bodies with chased wavy lines, the loid with concentric circles. Each fully and part-marked with maker’s mark A.M in a spade shaped punch, the teapot with silver jubilee mark. (4)
