Each with a central octagonal cartouche enclosing a white scaly dragon writhing among fire wisps on a shimmering green ground, surrounded by eight petals of alternating design of stylised chrysanthemums and Hō-Ō birds within blue borders, all on a lustre black ground with metal foil, the reverse enamelled blue with a scroll design and a peach mark
