A MEISSEN HAUSMALER TEABOWL AND SAUCER, circa 1725-30, the saucer decorated in gilding over underglaze-blue with the ‘Fels- und Vogel’ pattern of flowering plants and a bird in flight, the teabowl additionally with a chinoiserie figure riding a bird through the sky, the rims with gilt borders, both with concentric blue banding to the underside, the saucer 12cm diameter, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, the teabowl with painter’s mark in blue inside the footrim (2) PROVENANCE: Private German collection.
