A MEISSEN TEABOWL, circa 1745, painted with battle scenes after Georg Philipp Rugendas the Elder (1666-1742), one depicting soldiers on horseback duelling, the other soldiers firing a cannon towards a town, within elaborate gilt scrollwork cartouches edged in brown, the interior with a spray of Deutsche Blumen, gilt-line rim, 7.5cm diameter, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gold number 24., impressed numeral 89 PROVENANCE: Private German collection.
