A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE ‘POUCH' SNUFF BOTTLE. Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th Century. The pear-shape body imitating a pouch, with two loop handles joined by a flange running under the body, painted with a roundel containing the shou character among lotus blossoms and foliage, with stylised waves to the underside and a band of ruyi heads to the rim, 5cm across. Provenance: English private collection. Porcelain snuff bottles of this design appeared in the late 18th century and were produced for the Imperial household in sets over the 19th century. Due to their form and the holes for cords they were worn directly suspended from the sash without the need of an actual textile pouch. 清十八 / 十九世紀   青花‘壽’紋鼻煙壺 來源:英國私人收藏。 *For a full condition report, please contact the department.* *请您联系我们索取品项报告。*
