A pair of late 19th century German 800 standard silver mounded ruby glass decanters, Kesselstadt circa 1890 by Karl Kurz
Each of flattened onion form the silver mounted to the body of harvest maiden caryatids with fruiting baskets adjoined by floral swags upon an openwork oval base with leafy rim and engraved quatrefoil edge. The neck mounts with die-rolled decoration of bands of stylised rosettes and triangular leaves. Pull out spherical stoppers with fluted underside surmounted by rosettes, fitted with corks. Each marked 800 and with makers mark KKK to the mounts. (2)
