Three early to mid-20th century Iraqi silver and niello compacts, circa 1930-50
each of circular form, one with a scene of the Abu Hanifa al in Nu'man, Baghdad to the lid, mirror to interior. Another with a dhow sailing boat to the lid, mirror to the interior, and a further example with a distant scene the Abu Hanifa al in Nu'man, Baghdad, before palm trees, mirror deficient, engraved underneath with FMC. The sides with various scenes of camels, fishermen in their mashoof, the Taq Kasra (Ruins of Ctesiphon) and a boatman in a gufa. Each signed, one for Abbas Omara another for Fadhel. (3)
