An early 19th century Dutch silver tea caddy, Amsterdam 1804 by Jacobus Carrenhof (active from 1791) retailed by Willem Diemont (1767-1842)

of plain oval form with beaded and reeded rims. Hinged dished lid. Lock mechanism, key absent. Fully marked underneath with date letter V and makers mark ICH.

Length – 11.5 cm / 4.5 inches

Weight – 299 grams / 9.61 ozt
