A mid-20^th century Iraqi silver and niello cigarette box, Basra dated 1969

Of rectangular form with wooden interior. The lid with a niello scene of palm trees before the Abu Hanifa al in Nu'man, Baghdad and dhow sailing boats. The interior with an inscription in Arabic reading "Present to Omar Mohammed Alhaza for his visit to the 14th Army 15/03/1969" dated١٩٦٩. Unsigned.
