* A PAIR OF SILVER-INLAID BIRD-SHAPED SCISSORS PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT EUROPEAN PRIVATE COLLECTION   India, 19th century  Zoomorphically-shaped to represent a bird, the body and beak decorated with scrolling vegetal tendrils and lush foliage, the eyes encrusted with turquoises, 19.5cm long. For an almost identical example, see the one in the Benaki Museum Collection, inventory number ΓΕ 13227 (https://www.benaki.gr/index.php?option=com_collectionitems&view=collectionitem&id=117433&Itemid=0&lang=en). * Please note that this lot is subject to import VAT at a preferential rate of 5% on the Hammer Price and the prevailing rate on the Buyer's Premium.
