A Victorian sterling silver gilt and glass chrism or scent bottle, London 1868 by William Henry Dee

Of circular form, the glass body mounted by a silver gilt cross overlay egraved centrally with initails 'AL'. The pull off stopper fitted with cork (stuck) with openwork finial suspended by a belcher chain to a suspension ring. Engraved ' W.Thornhill and Co 144 New Bond St ' on the neck. Fully and partially marked to the base, stopper and neck.

Length including chain - 14.7cm / 5.78 inches
