Rare Antique Victorian Sterling Silver novelty castle top reticule vinaigrette by John Tongue, Birmingham 1845. Modeled as a small ladies handbag or purse on a chain, the body with chased, repoussé foliate scrolls and the lid embossed with a high relief scene of Windsor Castle. The gilt interior with pierced, foliate scroll grille. Diameter 4.2cm / 1.7". Silver weight 17g / 0.55 troy oz. Provenance The property of a gentleman.
