A NOBLEMAN SITTING ON A TERRACE Provincial Mughal School, North India, late 19th century  Opaque pigments and gold on tinted paper, the bejewelled nobleman sitting on a throne in the middle of the composition, portrayed with a halo, holding a falcon on his bare finger, flanked by two attendants, one holding a fly-whisk, the scene set on an elegant terrace with delicate marble carvings, with floral borders and double blue rules, 31cm x 26cm.
