A mid -20th century Persian (Iranian) silver four-piece tea and coffee service, Isfahan circa 1950 mark of Bireae

Pahlavi dynasty. Comprising a teapot, a coffee pot, a milk jug, and a covered twin handled sugar bowl. Each of baluster form upon four cast and chased foliate legs. The pots with curved spouts topped with scrolls, opposite C scroll handles with wooden insulators, the same for the milk jug handle. The pull off lids of domed form surmounted by a cast foliate finial. The bodies of each with engraved ghalam zani decoration of arabesques and foliate scrolls, with vignettes of nightingales attending peonies (gol-o bolbol) all reserved with peonies and checkerboard work. The teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl each marked underneath with standard mark (۸۴), and workshop mark بیریائی. The coffee pot with standard mark (۸۴) and town mark for Isfahan. (4)
