Antique William IV Sterling Silver castle top vinaigrette by Taylor & Perry, Birmingham 1834. Of rounded rectangular form, the base and sides with engine turned decoration, with cast floral borders, the lid with a high relief depiction of a rare angle of Abbotsford House, the home of Sir Walter Scott. The gilt interior with pierced, foliate scroll grille. Diameter 4.2cm / 1.6". Silver weight 30g / 0.95 troy oz. Provenance The property of a gentleman.
