A mid-20th century Persian (Iranian) silver tray, Isfahan circa 1960 mark of Kazeem

Pahlavi period. Of rectangular form with rounded corners chased with foliate scrolls. The field centred with a scene of a reclining man with book in hand, in the other raising a bowl towards a woman standing besides him pouring from an ewer, reserved with a tree and foliage, encircled with a rosette border. The field cornered with vignettes of famous Isfahan buildings (lower right) Ali Qapu Palace, (upper right) Shah Mosque in Isfahan, (upper left) Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque in Isfhan, (lower left) Madreseye Chahār Bāgh all within shaped cartouches, all reserved with long tailed birds and foliate scrolls with peonies, as well as arabesque vignettes. Marked to the reverse standard mark (۸۴) and workshop or retailer’s mark نام.
