RAMA AND SITA ON A THRONE  Mewar, North India, 18th - 19th century  Opaque pigments heightened with silver on paper, Rama and Sita seated cross-legged on a hexagonal throne, flanked by two attendants with fly-whisks, Garuda and Hanuman standing in the foreground, a high horizon line and bejewelled parasol in the background, within black rules, set in bright red borders, a black ink Devanagari inscription at the top, inventory numbers and previous owner's comments on the back, 24cm x 14.8cm.
