A late 19th / early 20th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver gilt confectionary bowl, Cutch circa 1900
Raj period, of cylindrical form with a domed and conical pull off lid surmounted by a cast and chased finial of a birds with wings elevated. The pierced and embossed body with foliate scrolls and rosettes, between acanthus leaf bands, the lid with similar bands between gadrooning. The underside with a flat chased peacock eye pattern centred with a rosette. A vacant shield shape cartouche to the front. The interior with a blown-in clear glass liner.
