A large William IV sterling silver snuff box, Birmingham 1830 by Thomas Shaw
Rectangular form with waisted reeded sides, the hinged lid with a chased foliate scroll rim. The lid engraved with a presentation inscription reading “Presented by the committee and members of the Lambton Collieries Fund Mr Thomas Crawford Junior for his valuable & gratuitous services as secretary to the said fund. 13th Dec 1834”. Engine turned underneath. Gilt interior. Fully marked.
