An early 20^th century Sudanese silver twin handled tray, Omdurman dated 1922

Of rectangular form with a filigree and wirework scroll galleried edge, twin handles of strap form. The field with flat chased decoration of decoration of stylised scroll forms with eyelets flanked by lozenges, the central reserve with أم درمان‎ (Omdurman) and the date in Hijri ١٣٤٠ (1340). Also, with two oval cartouches either side with Arabic. The handles with punched simple geometric decoration.
