An early 19th century Chinese Export silver bachelor teapot, Canton circa 1830 mark of WE WE WC

China Trade period. Of oblong baluster form with a gadrooned rim, upon four ball feet, the curved spout opposite a wooden D section handle pinned to curved junctions. The hinged gently domed lid surmounted by a detachable wooden knop finial. The body with embossed half-fluted decoration, one side with a vacant shield shape cartouche. Marked underneath with pseudo hallmarks; lion passant, leopard’s head crowned, P, and duty mark, also WE WE WC.
