A late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver bowl, Lucknow circa 1890
Raj period, of circular form with a rounded base. The body with chased decoration in jungle pattern of dears, birds, lion’s and wild dogs with trees against hills, centred with a vacant shield shape cartouche flanked by passant lion and surmounted by a bird, all between stylised leaf borders. The underside with chased peacock eye pattern.
