A German WWI Field Surgeons Military Chest a rare and very near complete example of this fascinating set of field surgical tools, Jetter & Scheerer makers plate, in stainless steel, comprising a full field surgeons operating tools, in brass reinforced wooden chest...... The former property of Dr. J. M Beattie M.D., D.Sc.  Member of the British Medical Association for nearly fifty years, vice president of the Section of Pathology at Sheffield in 1908, vice president of the Section of Bacteriology at Liverpool in 1912 and London (Centenary meeting) 1932 , President of the Section of Pathology and Bacteriology at the Dublin meeting 1933. Representative for the University Liverpool on the General Medical Council between 1932 - 1935. Formerly examiner in Pathology for the National University of Ireland, the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, St. Andrews, Birmingham, Bristol, London, Belfast, Durham, and Trinity College Dublin.
