AN EXTENSIVE COLLECTION OF MEISSEN 'BLUE ONION' PATTERN DINNERWARE, late 19th Century and later, traditionally decorated in cobalt-blue with stylised floral motifs including peonies and asters, comprising a large oval tureen and cover with acanthus scroll handles and finial, 26cm high, a large fish platter, 55cm wide, 42 dinner plates, 25.5cm diameter, 13 dessert plates, 21.5cm diameter, six side plates, 20cm diameter, and five bread and butter plates, 17.5cm diameter, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, the tureen and one dinner plate with cancellation marks (69)
