* A FINE QAJAR ENAMELLED CARNELIAN-SET GOLD SEAL PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT EUROPEAN PRIVATE COLLECTION   Iran, 18th - 19th century  Of typical rectangular shape, the gold base with polychrome-painted enamels depicting rosettes and other flower heads, a drop-shaped red stone set amidst floral bloom, a stylised gold palmette as knob, the carnelian incised in fine nasta'liq script on a floral ground, the inscription in the centre 'Blein / Blaine' (?), possibly a commission from a Western visitor, 2.5cm x 3cm the size of the carnelian. Inscription: The creator of every high and low is You, All is nothing and all there is is You. * Please note that this lot is subject to import VAT at a preferential rate of 5% on the Hammer Price and the prevailing rate on the Buyer's Premium.
