A late 18^th century Danish silver spice box hovedvandsæg, Copenhagen 1774 by Bendix Christensen (born c. 1727, citizenship 1755, d. 1799)

In the Rococo style, of shaped baluster form with embossed C scrolls, shells and rocaille. The upper section with a hinged lid, the base with section hinged. Gilt interior. The inside of base lid with makers mark only BCS 1774.
