Of tapering cylindrical form with a pull off domed lid and a cylindrical cap. The body and cap with chased decoration of dense foliate scrolls. Marked underneath PAONG.

Height – 27.8 cm / 11 inches

Weight – 537 grams / 17.27 ozt

This mark for presumable a retailer or maker is found upon typical mid-20th century Cambodian animal boxes, such as a lion dog example incorrectly described as late 19th century, sold Bonham’s Edinburgh, 25 March 2015, lot 106 (part).
