A mid-20th century Thai unmarked silver betel box, probably Chiang Mai circa 1940

Of cylindrical form with a domed pull off lid surmounted by detachable figure. The sides with embossed decoration of theatrical figures interspersed with foliate scroll, all above a chased acanthus leaf border. The lid with nine vignettes of dog in various poses, the figure atop of a chased calyx.
