A mid-18th century unmarked gilt metal mounted Staffordshire enamel snuff box, circa 1760

formed as a scallop shell, the white enamel body with alternating blue stripres and floral bands, with a hinged lid raised by a scrolling thumbpiece. The gilt mount with chased floral decoration. Paper label for Taylor B. Williams Antiques, Chicago.
