An early 20th century Burmese silver unmarked silver bowl, Rangoon dated 1935

Of compressed circular form with embossed decoration of various figures, some sitting, one with an elephant, the other making offerings to chinthe, all within architraves, reserved with foliate scroll, the front with a cartouche engraved Journey’s End, all below a convex band chased with foliate scrolls. The underneath engraved ‘The Journey Commenced on 12-8-35”, also stamped A1J.
