A MEISSEN CABINET CUP AND SAUCER, circa 1820, the cup relief-decorated with a continuous scene of Classical figures in white, on a bisque lavender ground, within broad gilt bands, with a high scroll handle and pedestal foot, the saucer similarly decorated with a band of rosettes, the saucer 12.4cm diameter, crossed swords marks above I in underglaze-blue, impressed numerals (2) PROVENANCE: Private German collection.
