The cylindrical body supported by a splayed foot and rising to a flared rim, painted with a figurative scene depicting two warriors attempting to ward off a mythical beast as it stands firm beside a tall stele decorated with lotus flowers and surmounted by a lion dog finial, the landscape decorated with bamboo, rocky outcrops and pine trees, mounted as a lamp,

the vase 41.5cm high, overall 53cm high

Provenance: Property of a French Private Collection formed in Hong Kong during the 1960’s-1980’s
