A WESTERN ASIATIC BRONZE SHIELD FITTING  Circa 1st Century B.C. The circular fitting would have formed the central 'hump' of a shield, composed of a convex disc inset into a circular convex border, with a loop on the reverse for attachment, 22.1cm diameter.  Provenance: Property from the Axel Guttmann (1944-2001) collection.
