A Journey to the Western Islands of Scotland, first edition, first issue, with the 12-line errata (bound after the title) and "afford" on p. 199, D8 and *U4 are cancels (*U4 in corrected state numbered 296), title page with near-contemporary signature ‘Dorothea Solly’, B3, F7, F8 with small hole in margins, small wormtrail to inner margin from quires E to N, intermittent spotting, occasional staining, uncut in original paper-covered boards, paper title label to spine, some loss to paper covers and cracking to spine, lower quarter of spine coming loose, in a custom-made clamshell box by Riviere, 8vo, for W. Strahan and T. Cadell, 1775.
