A SET OF CALLIGRAPHER'S TOOLS Ottoman Turkey, 19th century  Comprising eight calligrapher's tools of different sizes, all of typical shape, among them an ivory inkwell, of globular form and with its own lid; four knives with carved ivory and wooden handles; a burnishing pen; a sprinkler; and two ivory qatt zan, tools for the final angled cut of the reed pen, the longest tool 20.5cm. This item may require Export or CITES licences in order to leave the UK or the European Union. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that lots have the relevant licences before shipping.
