A George III sterling silver snuff box, London 1798 by Jonathan Perkins I & Jonathan Perkins II
Of rectangular form with rounded corners, the hinged lid raised by a chased foliate thumbpiece. Engine turned decoration throughout, the lid with an applied vacant shield shape cartouche. The interior with a later engraved presentation inscription reading “Presented to Mr I R Cundall by the members of the Alliance Angling Society as a mark of esteem and respect for his valuable services as secretary 1876”. Gilt interior. Fully and part-marked.
