A MID-20TH CENTURY SUDANESE SILVER FILIGREE CIGARETTE BOX, OMDURMAN CIRCA 1940
Of rectangular form with scrolling filigree work arabesques, the hinged lid centred with a petal form finial, raised on four feet. The underside with a flat chased rosette and Arabic script including أم درمان . Together with an Iranian (Persian) filigree silver cigarette case, Zanjan circa 1940, with organic forms and a woven rotating hinge.
