The rank badges worked in gilt and colourful threads with various animals including two with Paradise Flycatchers, a Peacock, a Quail, and a Silver Pheasant signifying Civil Ranks and a Lion and a Qilin for Military Ranks, together with a red-ground panel decorated with precious objects, a circular panel with a bird, a rectangular panel with figures and a ruyi-shaped buff 'dragon' panel,
