A late 19th century Chinese export unmarked silver goblet, Canton circa 1890
Qing dynasty. Of gently everted rounded circular form raised upon three bamboo shoots with a leafy junction, the domed base with four new bamboo shoots emerging otherwise with chased roots. The body with chased decoration of bamboo with a shield shape cartouche engraved with initials ME or EM in gothic script cypher. Double skinned interior.
